• Discussion with Director of Doha Youth Authority in the GSF programme and future areas of cooperation. 

22 December

• Discussion with authorities at Al Bayan secondary school for girls, on using GSF approach to sport and learning physical education and after-school programmes.

23 December

• Visit Discussion with authorities at Al Resala secondary school for girls, on using GSF approach to sport and learning physical education and after-school programmes.

November 2008

29 November

• United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon's visit to GSF.
• GSF meeting with donors and sponsors in Doha - date to be announced.

October 2008

10 October

• GSF visibility event in Tunisia: Delegation led by the Secretary General of the QOC to hand over a football stadium it built to the town of Tozeur; friendly match to be played between Qatar's Al Ahli Football Club and the Tozeur Club.

15-18 October

• Expo: Life - Be Part of It! at the Doha Exhibition Centre; Interactive Workshops sessions on "Sports as a Means of Communicating with Youth", 1900-1930 PM on 15 October.

19 October

• Presentation of the topic, Amateur Sport: expanding youth participation within their communities, to Doping Control Officers at a QADC Workshop.

18-26 October

• GSF visibility event in Bali: QOC Delegation to use the opportunity to brief officials from other National Olympic Committees on the Global Sport Fund.

27-31 October

• GSF Youth Camp in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Postponed until further notice

• Grants for NGOs: Check whether your organization qualifies to a grant for youth-in-sport project and apply now

• UNODC and the QOC will showcase the GSF to the local media in Doha.
